I worked for 6 years at advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, Y&R, DraftFCB Bangkok and Cambodia.

The turning point for me was when I saw an ad a short film contest where the winner received a cash prize, which piqued my interest. I had little to no filmmaking experience but thought my ability to create ideas made up for it. Ultimately, I didn’t win anything, but what I gained from the experience was the joy of filmmaking, the opportunity to work with people, animals and objects and allow them to speak on our behalf, and I saw people’s reactions to my films, I saw how a film affected how people felt, which made me realize that filmmaking is not just about profit or reward.

Once my interest peaked, I wanted to learn how to make better films, so I decided to move to New York to study filmmaking. This tells me that creating something that means something to you personally is the most universal thing in the world. Our unique style of humor or drama is something that transcends language and culture (it’s amazing).

So that became my mission, I wanted to tell stories that made the audience feel good because ultimately I believed that would bring back the brand.

I started my career as a commercial director at Triton Film (Bangkok) for four years and I encountered a lot of products and brands and I hope my experience and intention will allow me to create stories that will make your audience feel good. Looking forward to seeing you at PPM! 🙂
